Preserving Eagle Pond Farm

Where Donald Hall and Jane Kenyon Shared a Writing Life

Here, in New Hampshire, Donald Hall and Jane Kenyon were daily informed by the farm, its memories, and a deep sense of place and connection to place. It was here they found their poetry and here, still, is what they often wrote about.

At Eagle Pond is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to preserve this national landmark and, here, to honor Don’s and Jane’s work and the influence of the farm, open the house to the public, invite reflection on poetry and place, offer a range of public programs, and provide opportunities for poets and others to take up their own work where Don and Jane created theirs.
